Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the second Edinburgh Comedy Festival on the Fringe. We’re back with yet another blistering programme of funny people that is bursting at the seams.
In 2008 the festival presented acts from Assembly, Gilded Balloon, Pleasance and Underbelly. In 2009 we are proud to welcome on board shows at venues as varied as the The Bongo Club, The Playhouse, The Edinburgh International Conference Centre, The Laughing Horse and Nichol Edwards Cinema and the Just The Tonic Comedy Club. With one brochure, one website and one box office where you can buy tickets for any performance, this promises once more, to be the largest concentration of laughter anywhere on the planet. And it’s all on the Fringe.
Whether it’s stand up, sketch, musical comedy, improv or even silent clowns, the Comedy Festival has the lot! Once again the best known faces share the limelight with those just waiting to be discovered.
So take a risk, once you’ve seen your all time favourite, try something different. You never know who you might discover.
This festival is a banquet of comic delights, it’s the annual feast of funny, and when you are tired of laughing your head off, don't forget about the other events such as theatre, music, dance and kids programmes being put on this year by Assembly, Gilded Balloon, Pleasance and Underbelly! You could spend a month, and still just scratch the surface! You can buy all your tickets on this website or from any of our 14 box offices around the city.
We wish you a thoroughly enjoyable festival!
